The red elm is a spreading tree that has reddish-brown bark that turns black after a period of time. This tree grows in North America. It is mostly found on water banks, low slopes and in floodplains.
The most important of this tree is the bark. It contains active substances such as flavonoids and salicylic acid, tannins and mucilage.
