Pau D’Arco inaczej lapacho, tahuari czy taheebo to nazwy odnoszące się do dekoracyjnego drzewa i jego wewnętrznej części kory. Gatunek ten wykorzystywany był pierwotnie przez rdzennych Indian zamieszkujących dżunglę amazońską do przyrządzania orzechowo-ziołowych naparów.
