The product consists of:
- selected cultures of bacteria or yeast which support normal bowel function and a healthy immune system. Those included in the supplement:
- Lactobacillus acidophilus - lactic acid bacilli. This probiotic converts lactose into lactic acid through fermentation. Lactobacillus like other probiotics affects the intestinal microflora.
- Bifidobacterium lactis - a strain of probiotic bacteria responsible for the production of lactic acid. Naturally found in the terminal ileum and large intestine. Together with lactobacillus, it restores the proper microflora in the intestines.
- Bifidobacterium longum - one of 32 bacteria belonging to the genus biflidobacterium. Aids in the digestion of lactose and other nutrients, allowing proper absorption in the digestive system.
