The omega-3, omega-6 and omega-9 fatty acids belong to the so-called good unsaturated fats. The precursor of omega-3 is alpha-linolenic acid, omega-6 is linoleic acid and omega-9 is oleic acid. They are essential in a balanced diet, as two of them cannot be produced by the human body on its own.
The product consists of:
- Fish oil - from deep-sea fish (anchovies and sardines). Thanks to distillation, it is free of pesticides, polychlorinated biphenyls and heavy metals. Omega-3s include: DHA, or docosahexaenoic acid, and EPA, or eicosapentaenoic acid (it is the substrate for the production of DHA).
