The omega-3, omega-6 and omega-9 fatty acids belong to the so-called good unsaturated fats. The precursor of omega-3 is alpha-linolenic acid, omega-6 is linoleic acid and omega-9 is oleic acid. They are essential in a balanced diet, as two of them cannot be produced by the human body on its own.
The product consists of:
- Fish oil - from deep-sea fish (anchovies and sardines). Thanks to distillation, it is free of pesticides, polychlorinated biphenyls and heavy metals. Omega-3s include: DHA, or docosahexaenoic acid, and EPA, or eicosapentaenoic acid (it is the substrate for the production of DHA). Both acids are found in oily fish, including mackerel, anchovies, salmon and cod. In addition, in algae and seaweed. It is also a source of omega-9 fatty acids in the form of OA oleic acid.
- Borage oil - a source of omega-6 fatty acids - in the form of GLA (gamma-linolenic acid), vitamins, tannins, flavonoids, minerals and saponins.
Thanks to its natural lemon flavour, the product does not have a characteristic fishy smell or an unpleasant bitter aftertaste. An additional advantage is the only natural antioxidants - D-alpha-tocopherol, rosemary leaf extract.
