Due to the properties of collagen, it is used in medicine, the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries, as well as in the food industry. Type I collagen forms tendons, skin, subcutaneous tissue and bone connective tissue. Type II collagen builds the fibres of the reticular connective tissue.
