ALA, or alpha-lipoic acid, is one of the omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids. Swanson's product contains 300 mg of the active ingredient per capsule.
The product contains:
- Alpha-lipoic acid - otherwise known as ALA from alpha lipolic acid. It is an organic chemical compound belonging to the group of omega-3 polyunsaturated fats. Unlike endogenous acids, ALA is not synthesised by the human body and must be supplied with food. Its natural sources are fruits (including kiwi, blueberries), nuts, vegetable oils (especially flaxseed) and soya.
Supplement should be taken once or twice daily.
