Meadow clover otherwise known as red clover. It belongs to the broad bean family and is most commonly found in Europe, Asia as well as Africa, Australia and America. In Poland it is a fairly common plant and is also used as a medicinal plant. It also has other uses as healthy fodder for cattle and horses. It is therefore an edible plant, all parts of which are safe. Only the roots should not be eaten raw, they need to be cooked before consumption.
Meadow clover can be found in the dietary supplement Zein Pharma - MenoVital Plus. This is a valued supplement especially for women aged 55 and over during menopause. It contains plant isoflavones from meadow clover, which are also known as phytoestrogens, as well as vitamin C and zinc.
