Tryptophan is an essential amino acid, i.e. one that our body cannot produce on its own. It must therefore be supplied with food or via dietary supplements. Its active form is the L-configuration molecule, or L-tryptophan. As it is an amino acid, its main sources will be products rich in plant and animal protein.
Such sources include eggs, meat, cheese, soy products, chia seeds, flaxseed, cocoa and pumpkin and sunflower seeds. Once ingested, it is very easily absorbed from the digestive tract. Recommended Use: Take 1-2 capsules daily unchewed with plenty of water 30 minutes before sleeping.
