The NOW Foods product is a combination of 500 mg of vitamin C in the form of ascorbic acid and 40 mg of rosehip seed powder. The combination is said to support the immune system.
The product includes:
- Vitamin C - otherwise known as L-ascorbic acid, is one of the most popular vitamins. It has antioxidant properties, strengthens teeth and gums, improves immune function and helps wounds heal. Additional vitamin C supplementation is worth taking care of during a cold, for example.
- Wild rose - a shrub of the rose family occurring in temperate and warm areas of the northern hemisphere. In Poland it is considered a common species. Ripe rosehips contain large amounts of vitamin C, tannins, essential oils, carotenoids and organic acids.
It is recommended to take one tablet one to three times a day preferably with food.
