The NOW Foods brand product contains phosphatidylcholine and non-GMO sunflower lecithin. The name lecithin is used to describe a whole group of organic chemical compounds that are classified as phospholipids. The supplement supports metabolic processes.
The product consists of:
- Soy lecithin - lecithin is found in every cell of the body - it is a component of cell membranes. Soy lecithin is used as a food additive. It is extracted from soybeans.
- Phosphatidylcholine - choline is essential for the normal functioning of the human body. It is part of selected phospholipids, which is why scientists initially included it in the B vitamins, calling it vitamin B4. Today, it is known that it can only be considered a vitamin-like vitamin. It is most commonly found in a form called phosphatidylcholine. This substance contributes to the normal metabolism of homocysteine and lipids. It also influences proper liver function.

Ingredients: Liquid Sunflower Lecithin Not manufactured with yeast, wheat, gluten, soy, corn, milk, egg, fish, shellfish, tree nut or sesame ingredients. Produced in a GMP facility that processes other ingredients containing these allergens.
Recommended Use: Blend 1 tablespoon into milk, protein shakes or vegetable juice. May also be used in salad dressings/sauces (as an emulsifier of fats) or as a non-stick coating on pots and pans.
Warnings: Natural color variation may occur in this product. Shake well to mix if natural separation of oil components occurs. Store in a cool, dry place after opening.
