Coenzyme Q10 exists in three states: fully oxidised (ubiquinone), partially reduced (semichinone) and fully reduced (ubiquinol). Coenzyme Q10 is also known as ubiquinone. It is a vitamin-derived substance.
It is responsible for the proper functioning of cells and is also involved in the production of cellular energy and is responsible for electron transfer between cell membranes.
