Quercetin is an aromatic organic compound of plant origin. It is a pigment naturally found in green tea, red cabbage, onions, berries, tomatoes and grapes. Quercetin also belongs to the group of flavonols, where it is used in medicine. It is also used as a dye, which imparts brown-red and orange colours, and in chemical analysis as a reagent.
Beyond the naturally occurring quercetin in fruits, vegetables and spices, it can be found in a dietary supplement from German manufacturer Zein Pharma - Quercetin. It is a dietary supplement in the form of easy-to-swallow capsules. It is recommended to take 1 capsule daily with plenty of water. The product is not to be used as a substitute for a varied diet.
